Terms of Service
Last updated · June 25, 2026These terms cover your use of AskScope, an AI search visibility monitor operated by Eastbase Studio. By running a scan or creating an account, you agree to them.
Founder / legal review
This is a sensible early-stage template, not legal advice. Have counsel confirm the company details, governing law, and liability terms (each marked below) before relying on it.
Who you're agreeing with
AskScope is a product of Eastbase Studio(“AskScope,” “we,” “us”). In these terms, “you” means the person or business using the service.
TODO (founder): add your registered company name, country of incorporation, and contact address here.
What AskScope does — and what it can't promise
AskScope sends buyer-intent questions to AI search and assistant engines (Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, Google-grounded Gemini, and a labeled Claude simulation), reads the answers, and reports whether your business is recommended, mentioned, cited, ignored, or misrepresented — along with the raw answers as evidence, a site-readiness audit, and a practical fix list.
AI answers are probabilistic. They vary by model, wording, region, and date. Because of that:
- We report a share of runs with a confidence label and a trend over time — never a single guaranteed “AI rank.”
- We do not and cannot guarantee that any AI engine will recommend, cite, or correctly describe you, or that any change will improve your visibility.
- Claude-generated answers are always labeled “AI answer simulation” and are not a capture of a live consumer product.
AskScope is an informational tool. It is not marketing, SEO, legal, or financial advice.
Accounts
You can run a free scan without an account. Saving a brand to monitor requires an account (email and password, or an optional Google or GitHub sign-in). You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account, and you agree to give accurate information.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use AskScope.
Acceptable use
When using AskScope, you agree not to:
- scan domains or brands you have no legitimate business interest in, in order to harass or mislead;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the service, or place automated load on it beyond normal use;
- resell, sublicense, or white-label the product itself (white-label reports on the Growth plan are fine — reselling AskScope as your own product is not);
- reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the service or its security;
- use the service to break the law or infringe someone else’s rights.
We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or threaten its stability.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
AskScope offers a Free plan and paid Starter ($9/month) and Growth ($19/month) plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record, and renew automatically until cancelled.
You can cancel anytime from your account — your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then moves to Free. Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Refund terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply to a period you’ve already paid for.
Your data and third-party AI engines
You keep ownership of the brand details, sites, and key facts you enter. You grant us the permission needed to process them to run scans and provide the service. To produce results, AskScope sends buyer-intent questions about your category to third-party AI providers; we don’t control those engines or their answers. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
AskScope, its design, the radar/scope marks, and its software are owned by Eastbase Studio. These terms don’t give you rights to our branding beyond using the service as intended. Reports you generate about your own brand are yours to use.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t warrant that results are complete, accurate, or uninterrupted — AI answers and third-party engines are outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. TODO (founder): confirm this cap and any required consumer-law carve-outs with counsel.
Termination
You can stop using AskScope and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. Sections that should outlast the agreement (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the product evolves; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use AskScope after a change means you accept it.
TODO (founder): specify the governing law and venue for disputes.
